    Commuting

    The United State Air Force Academy (USAFA) is approximately 7 miles or a 12 minute commute from the Pine Creek subdivision, making it an option for a Colorado Springs military relocation with several homes near the Air Force Academy. The Pine Creek subdivision is a short distance to Interstate 25 which runs north and south through Colorado Springs. Powers Boulevard is another north/south access road through Colorado Springs. It borders the Pine Creek area to the east. This allows easy access to the eastern side of El Paso County. Powers Boulevard runs close to Peterson Air Force Base traveling south. Pine Creek has several homes near Peterson AFB as well, with the average commute time to Peterson pegged at 22 minutes.

    Recreation

    Pine Creek Golf Club is located within the subdivision. It is located north of Briargate Parkway. The golf course is an 18-hole championship golf course.

    There is plenty of shopping and restaurants close by, at The Promenade Shops at Briargate to the west of the Pine Creek subdivision. Whether you want to buy bread, have coffee or do some shopping, this shopping mall has it all! The Chapel Hills Mall is in close proximity to The Promenade Shops at Briargate and offers even more shopping!

    The Briargate YMCA can be found in the neighboring subdivision of Sagewood. This facility was built in 1998. The facility includes 2 swimming pools, 2 racquetball courts, indoor track, two gymnasiums with basketball and volleyball courts, and a full strength and conditioning center.

    Located in the Pine Creek subdivision is the Kathleen O'Neill Marriage Park and Nature Preserve. It is located at 2335 Amberwood Lane. There are many parks running throughout the Pine Creek subdivision.
