Situated in the southwestern real estate area of El Paso County, Colorado is the Broadmoor Spires Subdivision. The Broadmoor Spires Subdivision is located in the Colorado Springs real estate area. The Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base is in close proximity to the Broadmoor Spires Subdivision and borders the Subdivision to the south and to the west. Close to Highway 115, Broadmoor Spires is an ideal location for traveling to downtown Colorado Springs. Highway 115 to the southwest takes you to the town of Canon City.
Recreation
Many outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, mountain biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing are in or surrounding the Colorado Springs real estate area. The historical town of Cañon City is a small town located along the Arkansas River. Cañon City was founded in 1859 during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush. The Royal Gorge Bridge and surrounding areas, close to Cañon City, offer many outdoor activities including rock climbing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, kayaking, and fishing. Buckskin Joe Frontier Town is located in the Royal Gorge region and has buildings from the mid to late 1800s. The Royal Gorge also has a scenic railway. Canon City has a vineyard and a winery in the town.
A short distance to the north is the Broadmoor Hotel and Resort. The Broadmoor has three golf courses and a lake. The Country Club of Colorado is also located to the north and has a golf course and a lake.
