North of the Subdivision is a business district. Residential housing in Knob Hill sits to the east of the Golf Club community.

    Commuting

    With Nevada Avenue bordering the Golf Club real estate area to the west, access to Interstate 25 is quick. The USAFA real estate area is an approximately 15 minute drive, or 9.5 miles from the Subdivision. It's about a 15 minute commute to the Fort Carson real estate area and Peterson AFB real estate area. Quick access makes this location a good Colorado Springs Military Relocation site. Commuting to downtown Colorado Springs is approximately 5 minutes.

    Recreation

    The Golf Club Subdivision is located close to the Bon Shopping Center. The Shopping Center has a Safeway and Starbuck's and is adjacent to the Bonforte City Park. Bonforte City Park is an 8 acre park with two baseball/softball fields, a playground, two football/soccer fields, two tennis courts, a trail/sidewalk path, and a sheltered picnic area. The park is handicapped accessible.

    Shook's Run Trail runs through the Golf Club real estate area. The Trail runs from North Weber Street (Rock Island Trail) south to Fountain Boulevard (South Shook's Run Park). The surface is millings and concrete. The Trail is part of the City of Colorado Springs enormous trail system. Shook's Run Trail is 3.9 miles in length.

    The Patty Jewett Municipal Golf Course is located in the Golf Club Subdivision. On the west side of the course is a narrow road with 100 year-old trees lining the streets. The municipal golf course is an 18-hole golf course and has a separate 9-hole golf course as well.

    The Olympic Training Center is located approximately 10 minutes from the Golf Club real estate area. The Training Center has tours available throughout the year. Some of the United States Olympic gold medalists trained at the Training Center.

    Shopping is nearby with the Citadel Mall and the Citadel Crossing an approximate 15 minute drive from the Golf Club Subdivision. A variety of stores and restaurants are located in the both shopping areas.
