    Located in the Central Colorado Springs real estate area is the Venetian Village Subdivision. Business districts are located to the west and most of the south areas of the Venetian Village Subdivision. The Palmer Park real estate area borders the Subdivision to the southeast.

    Commuting

    Bordering Nevada Avenue, Interstate 25 is easily accessed. With several homes near the Air Force Academy, the USAFA main gate is an approximate 18 minute drive or 11.91 miles from the Venetian Village real estate area. It's a central location for any Colorado Springs Military Relocation plans. Interstate 25 to the north will also take you to Monument, Castle Rock, and Denver. Traveling to the south on Interstate 25 provides quick access to the Fort Carson real estate area. Heading southeast will take you to the Peterson AFB real estate area in about 15-20 minutes. Pueblo, Colorado is to the south of Colorado Springs traveling on Interstate 25.

    Recreation

    Flanagan City Park is located in the Venetian Village Subdivision. The park is a 4.7 acre park with a basketball court, baseball/softball field, a football/soccer field, a multi-play court, a large group picnic area and shelter, a playground, and a trail/sidewalk path. The Portal City Park borders the Venetian Village real estate area to the north. The Park has an outdoor swimming pool that is open during the summer months.

    Traveling on Nevada Avenue to the south takes you to downtown Colorado Springs in approximately 10 minutes. The Pikes Peak YMCA is located off of Nevada Avenue. The YMCA has two swimming pools, a weight room, racquetball courts, and a basketball court. One block from the YMCA is Palmer High School, the high school of attendance for the Venetian Village Subdivision.

    The Colorado Springs Country Club is situated close to the Subdivision has an 18-hole golf course, an outdoor swimming pool complex, four outdoor tennis courts, and a club house. The golfing practice facility has a driving range, practice bunker, a chipping green, and a 5,000 square foot putting area.

    Palmer Regional Park is a ten minute drive to the east from the Venetian Village real estate area. The park has a large dog park and offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horse back riding. The Park has over 25 miles of trails, volleyball courts, two baseball/softball fields, horse stables, football/soccer field, community playground, and a large group sheltered picnic area.
