    Fountain Valley Neighborhood Descriptions

    Located south of the Pheasant Run Ranch in El Paso County is the newer, eye-catching Fountain Valley Ranch Subdivision (not to be confused with the City of Fountain). This southern real estate area was established in 1985-2002. Most of the homes for sale in this City of Colorado Springs real estate area were built in the mid 1980s to the late 1990s. To the south is the Widefield real estate area. East is the Big Johnson Reservoir and the first-rate Fountain Valley School of Colorado. The Fountain Valley School of Colorado is a private, college prep high school situated on a 1,100 acre central campus with a 40-acre mountain campus. The school was established in 1930. There are students that attend the school from all over the world. A large percentage of the Fountain Valley School student body boards at the school and some are day students only.

    Commuting

    Traveling to Fort Carson real estate takes approximately 15 minutes by car, or is an estimated 6.83 miles. Peterson Air Force Base real estate is also an estimated 15 minute drive, or 7.58 miles from the Fountain Valley Ranch real estate area.     The Widefield Community Center and the neighborhood Copperfield outdoor swimming pool (for residents only) are located in the Fountain Valley Ranch real estate area. The Widefield Community Center swimming pool is an indoor swimming pool that is open year around. The Security Public Library is also located at the Community Center.

    The Security Shopping Center located to the north of the Fountain Valley Subdivision has a Ross store. Additional shopping opportunities are available along the Powers Corridor, an approximate 15 minutes from the Subdivision.
