The Security Subdivision is located southeast of the City of Colorado Springs in the Fountain Valley real estate area. This City of Colorado Springs real estate area was established in 1953-1999. The trail and park provide the perfect atmosphere for a family outing including: Hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Wildlife is abundant along the trail.

An influential community proponent in the Security Subdivision is the Venetucci Farm. The Farm gives away countless pumpkins annually to school aged children. Established in 1936 the Farm teaches children about agriculture.
