Cheyenne Village is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to help people with disabilities lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. In its 38 year history, Cheyenne Village has been dedicated to providing assistance, training, and support to adults with developmental disabilities consistent with their cultural orientation and individual lifestyle.Our Goals
- Provide safe and affordable housing and staff support to individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes, apartments, and host homes.
- Provide services to augment existing family or caregiver support.
- Maintain or improve the health of individuals served by Cheyenne Village.
- Help to enrich the lives of individuals we serve by encouraging volunteer and recreational activities in the community in which they live.
- Provide transportation for errands, jobs, recreational activities, medical appointments and other activities.
The Colorado Springs real estate area is fortunate to have numerous non-profit organizations that strive to enrich and strengthen our community. Cheyenne Village is just one of these organizations. They are dedicated to improving the lives of developmentally disabled adults and are repeatedly recognized on the national level for their efforts.
Cheyenne Village strives to assist disabled adults in living the fullest life possible. In fact, many of their clients live independently, while Cheyenne Village provides supplemental support. Cheyenne Village has even enabled many of their clients to find and keep jobs within the Colorado Springs community! Many of their clients, however, are unable to care for themselves so completely and require assistance throughout the day. In order to provide this care, Cheyenne Village needs our help. They are funded almost entirely through private donations. So the next time you find yourself with some spare change, why not donate it to Cheyenne Village?
