Homeowners and industry professionals will learn the latest landscape design tips, trends and more at the 2010 Peak to Prairie Landscape Symposium.The City is participating in this two-day event which will focus on creating and maintaining unique and sustainable landscapes in our semi-arid climate. Regional experts will present a variety of topics, including the latest in water-wise landscape design, plant selection, installation and maintenance.
Colorado Springs Utilities is hosting a 2 day educational extravaganza next Friday and Saturday at the Double Tree Hotel (near the World Arena) on environmentally friendly and resource friendly landscaping techniques and products. Landscaping in Colorado Springs can be tricky, especially with our dry climate, clay & sand soils, and cool nights. This symposium should offer lots of tips on how to tackle these challenges while keeping your water bill low during the summer months….And that is something we could all use. While the Colorado Springs real estate area is fortunate to have our water supply come straight off Pikes Peak, it is still important to conserve our water and use it responsibly.
