Experience the variety of trees, animals, tracks and scat in the park with the Volunteer Naturalist. Bring: snowshoes or gaiters (depending on snow level), water, snacks, warm layers of clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Looking for a fun way to spend some time outside this weekend that doesn’t require a drive north to the ski slopes? Mueller State Park is hosting a hike this Saturday to introduce local residents to one of their hiking trails. You’ll experience a guided tour where you’ll learn about the wildlife and vegetation of Mueller State Park while getting fantastic exercise in the great outdoors.
Mueller State Park is located in the Teller County real estate area and offers gorgeous views of rock formations and Pikes Peak. The Outlook Ridge Loop trail is fairly gentle so feel free to bring the whole family. Just make sure you come prepared to be outside! And make sure you stop by their visitors center while you’re there. They have educational displays and in depth information on not only Mueller, but also other Colorado State Parks as well.
